Just wanted to say hello. I am a retirede Wyoming state trooper and author. Since I haven't exactly set the New York Times Bestseller list on fire yet, I do still work as a safety director for an oilfield trucking / service company.

Some of you may have read "Truckers and Troopers" or perhaps heard me on the Dave Nemo Show on XM. T&T was my fourth book. T&T part Deuce is on the way!

Thought I'd hand around from time to time to keep up on the gossip and tall tales among some of the finest people I've ever known - American truckers.

I hope you all don't mind. Actually, I am here at the invite of one of your members.

Thanks!
Jim

Welcome. I actually did hear you on Dave's show a few months ago, I believe. You were telling the story about the guy telling you to get off his step. I thought I was going to die laughing.

You'll actually find a decent place to kick back, here and enjoy yourself. Once in awhile, we do get into some VERY spirited debates about interpretation of laws. All in all this is a great website.

On Dave's show, I didn't here if you said what area you patrolled in. I used to run I-80 on a weekly basis, years ago. I still get across there quite often.

Again welcome to the site. Please feel free to join right into the discussions on ANY of the forums. Watch out for the wimmin folk, though. they got those boppy things, here.

Dave

Hi Jim-- you finally found us :D . I had to back out of the other site we were on as it was loading up my e-mail to much.
For the rest of the folks here, Jim has a way with words & the 2 books I have of his are good reads.

Welcome Jim, err .... "1042Trooper" ...... Not sure who pointed you this way, but I have an idea ..... and I know you'll have a good time here.

I haven't written a lot here lately, been having some busy times around the house and work and it's really cut into my time here on the net, but there is a great bunch of people here.

I'll have to do a search for the books.
