Ok i don't drive....But bones my husband drove flatbed for a few years then he decided to go somewhere else (JB Hunt pulling Vans) :wow:
I helped him alot last summer and we had a blast. the thing is the company he worked previously for, are still like family and tell us when he's ready to come back they will take him back.
We can still go to the company picnic...lol Both of us really liked the flatbed ( ok i did...lol) no really he did'nt mind it, but it is tough and you have to really know what your doing...lol
the reason he left this company was a really hard decision as he was home every weekend and sometimes during the week, but the $$$$ was not there and that was a big factor.
we have lot's of friends over there and i visit every friday...lol i like looking at the pete's and the flatbeds...i know i'm terrible...lol
The company my husband left needs a shop secretary and i'm thinking of taken the job up, it's to order parts and such and make sure the mechinics are doing there jobs...lol it's only part time but it brings me back to the company my husband left and i get to see these dirty flatbedders come in complaining about everything...lol So i don't know if i'm going to take the job or not it's only part time and i'll have to see if i can do it. it's an idea though.
But as you can see i think i belong to the flatbedders threads because they are like family, like i read in one of the threads below flatbedders do help each other out unlike van drivers do. Its a unique family :xbounce:
