I'm not a big fan of Peterbilt trucks myself, but this 379 Flat Top caught my eye today as I was going across Iowa and took a break.
A few subtle modifications, and a nice, clean look. Check out those quarter fenders!

Nice headache rack too!

This truck, in my opinion, really doesn't need any additional chrome. About the ONLY thing I would have done different is those fuel tanks POLISHED instead of painted!

My dream truck would either be an early '70s W-900A or a 1976 K-100 Aerodyne Cabover Bicentennial Edition........... and that's coming from someone who has loved his old Internationals for many years!

I've owned two, and I maintained & kept the repairs up on a fleet of '87 and '88 International cabovers when I was in the shop years ago.

The W9 is an awesome trk. I don't like the areo dine look. I will alwys love the long nose. It makes the trk look so classy.

I disagree about polishing the tanks, though. I think it would look better if the straps on the tanks were polished.

Did you guys ever notice that polish (Shiny) & Polish (the ethnic heritage) are spelled the same?

Gotta agree with you on this.I think the painted tanks with polished ends look good.If the straps were polished it would really set the tank area off.
Good looking ride.

Not only does the tank straps need polishin', but that there Pete needs some 8" turn-out stacks and a set of round headlights. I would also consider doing a bigger front bumper coated with black semi-gloss Rhino Lining and painting the 8" stacks with black semi-gloss heat paint to just below the 45 degree turnouts whick would be chrome.

OMG!!!! I can't believe this is Jeff talking here!
That is a nice ride ya found there buddy. The only thing I would change is, like has been said, I would have had the tanks cut and polished. Or maybe added some chicken lights across the bottom of that bumper.

Thanks! It was "different" because it wasn't tacky looking like many other decked-out trucks out there.

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Please, NO CHICKEN LIGHTS! That's part of why that truck in the photos stood out- it does NOT need no damn chicken lights! :harhar: :harhar: :harhar:

Not to mention another place for an electrical problem to take place. As a former truck mechanic I saw some of the crappy "do-it-yourself" wiring jobs that wreaked havoc on many truck electrical systems (and could have caused a fire- my boss had me rip all that crap off of trucks that were not properly wired, and drivers got reprimanded for it).
