Just wanted to say thanks to all who gave input over the last couple months re, my becoming an O/O.
I found a truck, not what I wanted but it was a working truck with low miles and super clean, Penske Rntal outa Tampa, one company one driver truck.
I had what I thought was a good gig lined up with a trade show hauler outa the North, VERY GOOD Pay.
Problem was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,the WIFE and Kids.
I have been home now for two years on a daily basis and after 18 yrs. in the biz. momma kinda likes having Daddy home, all be it during the day.
I will go back to plan B now and do it when I retire. BUY the truck that I want out right, obviously with a small payment for taxes and won't have to worry about alienating the family, 16yo daughter, 6yo boy and twin 5 yo's.
Guess I can wait, but shew weeeeeeee do I want back out. This linehaul gig is nice but it's like being stuck in a rut running 70 ALL night long, Indy to St. Clairsville and back.
