How quick one can forget. I am here in Newport,Ky. with my wifes family and they have a dial up connection, you talk about S L O W.

I forgot what a luxury Broad Band was until I encountered dial up again, it should be outlawed.

I'm pretty spoiled by my Verizon Broadband Air Card!

I can't remember the last time I used a dial-up connection- it's been a LONG TIME!

I had dial-up for a few months the first part of this year, because that is all they offered where I moved to. Went from DSL to dial-up, I about gave up on the internet, that is AWFUL!! :yikes:

I am so happy now that earthlink has offered DSL in my area now! :D

I think we'll stick with our 3 meg DSL connection...have you run the speed test found on http://www.dslreports.com...

Double R DSL in my area is as quick as cable and cheaper. It wouldn't surprise me tho that in some areas one has limited choices on Internet access.

Ya DSL is CHEAPER but Verizon does not offer DSL in my neighborhood. They say that I am too far from the CO but yet my dad lives 2 miles from me and has DSL, go figuer. :yikes:
