I have both, I like Sirius over XM because of where I live, Montana and mostly drive, western region, I don't get any drop outs with Sirius and I do even at home with XM
You can go to a Best Buy or Circuit City and tell them what you have and they should be able to sell you what you need.
Welcome to the forums, have something warm to drink and enjoy the zoo,,, err site.

My parents had me install a cradle for an XM SkyFi in their Jeep Grand Cherokee a few years ago. Not long after that I was asked how we could set up their XM to work with the stereo system in their house.
There's home kits available for most XM and Sirius units out there that connect to the home reciever's auxiliary RCA inputs.
Being my parents' Sony Surround Sound system didn't have the auxiliary inputs we needed, I had to set up their home cradle to work with a 12-volt power supply and a wireless FM modulator that is normally used in vehicles. That setup actually allows them to hear XM on any radio in their house- just by tuning into the same frequency the FM modulator is set up to transmit the XM signal on. Unfortunately, most of those FM modulators are no longer in production & are hard to find.
Your best bet now would be to hook it up "direct" if your stereo has auxiliary inputs.
