Very neat. I like Racoons, but give them a wide path, because I don't know enough about them.

Around here, if a coon walks into the yard with 2 dogs in it, the coon is either rabid or has distemper. :HMM:
We have to be very wary of coons in this area...it's one of the highest rated with rabies.
However, my brother has raised coons, and they were always well behved and well trained, even kitty litter trained!
He's also had opossums, skunks, rabbits, rats and dogs. When we were younger he had a pet crow and he taught it to talk.
Of course we grew up in the boonies, so he could have all his pets and no one said a word.

I have a sister who had an albino raccoon for many years. I always thought he acted a lot like a dog, but that may be because of the way he was treated. Spolied rotten little critter! He went just about everywhere she did, and even had a life jacket of his own to wear on their boat. He loved it!
I was always just a little afraid of him for some reason. Probably because like Jimbo said, I just felt I didn't know enough about him.

I found two baby coons one time in a field. They were so tiny and I was afraid they were gonna die. Well, I named them Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie made it for about 3 months then passed away in the night and I never did find out why. Clyde on the other hand grew to be an old man. He was always climbing on my shoulder and playing with my hair. My 4 kids were HIS kids. And he protected them just like a dog would. He had a cage but the door was never locked. It was just his bedroom. He would open the door by himself if he needed to go out, but would let someone know he was going.
Clyde passed away one night as he lay in my arms looking at me with those sweet eyes. Rest In Peace My Friend.
