USF Bestway being absorbed by its sibling companies
By Jill Dunn

YRC Worldwide subsidiary YRC Regional Transportation will consolidate USF Bestway into USF Reddaway and expand USF Holland.

The changes are immediate, but customers will notice no initial change in service, YRC said. The moves are expected to offer more regional delivery choices and better customer service, YRC said.

USF Bestway and USF Reddaway will consolidate into one organization operating as USF Reddaway.

The new USF Reddaway will provide direct service to a larger area, including Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. It also will offer new direct service in Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas and expanded capacity in California and Nevada.

USF Holland will expand its service in Arkansas, Kansas and Mississippi and provide full-state coverage in Kansas. This will allow USF Holland to acquire three USF Bestway service facilities: Little Rock, Ark., Wichita, Kan., and Jackson, Miss.

YRC Worldwide is the holding company for brands that include Meridian IQ, New Penn, Reimer Express, Roadway, USF Glen Moore and Yellow Transportation, in addition to USF Holland and USF Reddaway.

I noticed that all the new USF trailers out this way do not have the regionals name on them anymore. You will probably one day see all the regionals gone and it all running under USF period...........
