Everyone knows of nightmare o/o jobs
it might be the bad pay
I know a co pays $28 hour local food store/bodega stuff
they always have o/o working for them
or the nature of the work or 5 or six back of the drug store floor load drops, tire deliveries,

I was watching a double parked flatbed of rock salt being unloaded bag by bag by bag into a hardware store
where did they find these guys.

Too many people are guilty of "selling themselves short", I guess.

Then again, I have seen some (both company and O/Os) that will take a job to be "home every night"- even if the pay sucks! :wtf:

Good point, it might be worth it to a trucker to make it home at the end of the night, especially if theres someone waiting for them.

Ding-Ding we have a winner!!!! You ask them and the truth will come out... They will say things like No one is making any money..... As long as the driving record is good...

Perhaps one of the biggest reasons that people lease to crappy companies is that they have iffy driving records and can't get on with a more respectable company. News flash though these companies that skirt on the edge of the compliance line by hiring iffy drivers will be slowly squeezed by CSA 2010 if they don't get their act together. For instance many of the hourly paid companies that force their drivers to drive illegally after those long dock waits. Any time their drivers get caught it's going to reflect on them more so with the new safety scoring system and rain bigger fines down on them more often and if the D.O.T does not just straight out revoke their authority, the fines will put them under anyway.
