Many of you Viet Nam vets aren't aware of the things Agent Orange caused. The nerve problems, the Cancer problems and even type 2 Diabetes.

The VA doesn't argue with any of the problems. They just evaluate to see if the problem exists. If it does, they check your Service history, to ascertain you were in country during the Viet Nam War and viola, there you are, a Service Connected Disabled Veteran. With that comes free meds pertaining to the problem and other meds cost $8 per quarter.

I am a Type 2 Diabetic and was in country, so I qualified for a disability. I'm 20%, which gives me my free diabetic meds and I also get a $314 pension each month.

If you have any medical problems, look on the VA's webite, which I believe is www.va.gov and see if you're qualified for anything. I'll tell you one thing for sure, it took a load off my mind when I found out I could qualify, as I don't have to try to find insurance, now. They handle all my medical care. AND, so far. it's been good quality care.
