Remember the Maine? It was a one-off

The USS Maine and the USS Texas were one-offs. Navy ships are often built in a series and given classifications such as the Iowa Class of Battleships. But the following list of Battleships lists the Maine and Texas as one-offs. The Maine was of course the Battleship that was blown up in Havana harbor and was the beginning of the run up to the Spanish-American War.
