A couple of days ago Bubbers wakes up on the wrong side of the crib in a major way. His mood is worse than a truck driver who went to sleep at the dock on Friday only to wake up on Monday and found they still have not unloaded the single pallet of freight that was supposedly a critical JIT delivery.
After putting up with 20 minutes of him throwing everything he could get his hands on, trying to hit and bite me, slamming doors, etc (and yes all this from a child not quite 2 :wacko: ) I finally had to resort to turning the child over my knee and giving him a single swat on his butt.
When I put him down he looked up at me with tears running down his face and says "Thank you Daddy". :yikes: :yikes:
First time in my life I have ever had or heard a child, totally unprompted, tell someone thanks for giving him a spanking.
The good news is that his attitude did a fast 180 and he was in a good mood and well behaved the rest of the day.
Now if it were only that simple with his Mother.
