I hauled stone to a contractor working at the Cat plant today. This plant makes the big wheel loaders and excavators. They are doing some renovations inside, so that is where the stone had to go.

1st thing I saw was the Cat Nextel Cup show car cruising around, NASCAR is in town this weekend, so they must have brought it here for an appearance.

This is the door I went in

Once inside, that guy had to walk me all the way in and all the way out. Sorry about the pic quality, I had to take these quickly as no cameras are allowed.

I didn't take any where I was dumping, there were too many people around, but this is on the way out.

Reminds me of my steel mill days when we would have guests from the "Orient" to show around and make sure there were no cameras with them! We felt sure that at least one of their shiny coat buttons was actually a mini camera! Today there are surveillance devices that can spot lenses and infrared beams during daylight/sunlight. etc. It is a game of cat and mouse!

We had made some interesting mechanical improvements in our mill that had tripled and quadrupled our production, which no doubt intrigued their owners!
Our guys had learned how to longitudinally slit the hot moving bar into two strands and then in two more passes form it into 5/8" rebar, and later on they developed a second slitting step to handle 4 strands. I believe it was patented once they were successfully using it!

I hope your clandestine photography escapes notice and repercussions! I enjoyed the scenes!
