Name Called at Present: “Lil’ Rigg”
Age: Over 1 year
Sex: Male – will be neutered
Breed: Jack Russell mix

Story:
I’ve been rescued by three nice ladies and they feel really bad that I can’t live with them forever but they will keep me until I am back to my healthy weight. I will be neutered as soon as my weight is better. It is estimated that I should weigh about 20 pounds. Yesterday, 1 August 2007, I weighed 10 pounds. The lady “Mom Cynthia” just couldn’t pass me by. I was so sad and scared. Then she picked me up when I was in the car and she let me decide where I would ride. I rode on her lap. My foster brother rode on Grandma’s lap and Sugar, my foster sister, rode in the back with all the rest of my foster brothers & sisters.

We drove all around the city and I stayed right on "Mom’s" lap and slept. Many cars, vans, & pick-up trucks went past me. I just stayed right in my spot. Then it happened! A big rig went past. I was up like a shot. I cried, jumped and barked at my real humans but the rig just kept going down that long road.

After, I couldn’t see it any more, I settled back on "Mom’s" lap. Then another big rig came and parked by the van at the red light. Again I tried to get the attention of my humans in the rig, but it went past me too.

PLEASE, PLEASE, COME GET ME. I promise I will never leave you again. I am looking for you. I’m found but you’re still lost. I need you to come get me. I want to ride the rig again. I want to come home. Please Mom – Dad, Come get me. I miss you so much. I need you.

Call: Cynthia – 318-649-5072 day/night & leave your name, phone number, company, and identify the dog, include the name of your missing dog (to see if this dog responds to the name) you are missing, all describe all markings. Lil’ Rigg has a very distinctive mark that will prove he belongs to the person that can identify this mark. I will call you back. If you are interested in adopting Lil; Rigg – if the owner is not found after 30 days, please also indicate this. I need an active email address as there are adoption requirements.

Lil’ Rigg has at some time had a good life – on a big rig. He knows how to walk on a leash without any struggling. He is not food or dog aggressive. He is very comfortable on a lap. Seemed to be looking for a bed to sleep on. At present he sleeps in a crate with little problem. He is in a play yard during the day and does well. However, when he hears the Mack engine he seems ready to go. This is not a response he gives with normal autos – which he ignores almost completely.

He was rescued from the Ouachita Parish Humane Society and will be placed for adoption in 30 days if the owner(s) cannot be found.

Again contact Cynthia at 318-649-5072 for describing Lil’ Rigg.
