Does anyone know of an online guide or checklist for the pretrip inspection? I will be going down to take the driving part of CDL test soon, including pretrip and need to start practicing it. Gray Wolf remembers it from 2000 (we hope) :harhar: but usually does a less thorough daily inspection.

I don't remember where to find that check list shewolf. But I do have a word of advice..... For the pre-trip, it's rather simple: if you see a part, name it-inspect it- if it needs repairs make it known that it will be. And in Florida, where I was tested many moons ago, there are 144 points to be inspected on each vehicle.
Don't forget the safety equipment ( triangles, fire extinguisher, and where your trucks fuses are), and the air brake checks.
OK, OK, I'm looking for that darn checklist. Ya'll gimme a few minutes.

Most logbook sheets have the list on the back side. ;)

Or you can buy just the DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report), seperately.

Very funny, Hoss :harhar:

No seriously we have a small DVIR at the bottom of the logsheet, not very comprehensive though.

Thanks, Bikerboy, thats what I was looking for. :)

Inside the front cover of the Motor Carrier Atlas...

.....and in front and behind all the maps, is all kinds of information!
Most only open the atlas for maps, but there is soooo much more!
