When adding the gallons for reefer fuel, are you suspose to round the gallons up or down or do you add it exactly as on the receipt?
What kind of form is used to report the gallons you purchased?

[b] Jazzy,
It doesn't matter which way it is stated on the receipt it is exactly what you spend that is deductible to you, As far as Fuel tax reporting the reefer fuel, it is "non-highway use" so it is not taxable in your fuel reports. and does not have to be reported on any form. You can call
Carolina Independant Truckers Services, In Cherryville, NC and they can tell you exactly how it works, they do IRP fuel tax reporting for all Owner Operators, You can e-mail me at Fkatz1 @ aol. com for information about them, they have been in business Since the mid 90's " when Carolina freight sold out to ABF. She was doing it for Carolina Freight when they were in business for over 10 years in there IRP department

I think he's asking about the refund on federal tax. You have to add actual gallons. Unless you have no tax liability there is no sense in doing it.

Yes that's right I am talking about on your federal tax return at the end of the year. Do all states have the reefer fuel and if not how do I go about getting a list of the states that I need to keep up with the gallons for?

The states don't matter. It is the total reefer gallons x current federal tax for the refund.

Frozen loads sitting in the yard and the reefer runs less than an hour per day. The nice thing about cold weather is they make airplanes that take you to warmer places.
