I seem to remember that he was an ex-jock but have since forgot. The funny thing is that a lot of the people on this site probably have no idea who Chuck Connors was. He could sure fire that rifle jiffy quick. Unfortunately my Winchester Model 94 doesn't have the modification on the cocking lever that ole Chucky baby had. :chase:

In the late 1940s--eariy 1950s he played first base for the Los Angeles Angels or Hollywood Stars of the now disbanded Pacific Coast League. I used to take the streetcar to the old LA baseball stadium to watch the games. If I remember correctly it cost $.10 to get there and $.25 to get in.
