Apples

My Dad works part time seasonal work at an apple orchard along the Mississippi River. He's been doing this since he retired a few years ago. He doesn't 'need' the money but does stuff like this to keep from getting bored.

Anyways, each fall he usually gives us several big bags or boxes full of different types of apples.

My wife usually cuts up, slices and dehydrates a bunch of them and sends 'em along with me for snacks in the truck. :cheers:

Tonight, she's making home made apple sauce and apple crisp. :drool: :cloud9:

Hey Dave, I learned to drive in the apple orchard. Brings back memories for me too. I made a nice apple pie this week.

We also used to wrap them in newspaper and they lasted for Christmas.
My fav's are Macintosh (sp) and Granny Smith.
