I always remember the shirt my father gave me for my 21st birthday.

It said:

An Irishman is never drunk so long as he can hold on to a blade of grass and not fall off the face of the earth.

Unfortunatly, I tried this way too many times.

Fortunatly, for the past 11.5 years I've not had t worry about it.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the sun always be at your back. And May you be in heaven one half hour before the Devil knows you're dead! That's the blessing my Gramma used to give me everytime I left to go work. It came from the Auld Country also.
My family came from County Callaghan and dropped the O in the ocean when they came over.

Does Twyford belong with Irish?

Oh no, it's Welsh but O'Briene on my granny side fits just fine.
