Writing Christmas letters. I'm playing on here as usual. I have two more Christmas thank you letters to write. I hope to get them done and in the mail this weekend.

What was the best Christmas present you ever got? I think since I have always been into music, one was a stereo in the 70's that was shaped in white plastic. Another was a clock radio (analog when I could get stations for 200 miles) at night, and it had a black lit dial that the numbers flipped on cards. I thought they were so cool. Both were from my mum.

What was your favorite present anyone?

I don't know if it's the best Christmas present I ever got but it's one I still have.

When I was 10 or so I received an official Boy Scout compass for Christmas.I carried it when I went camping as a scout and later when I backpacked in my late teens.I never really took good care of the compass but amazingly it's never been lost.It's survived 5 o 6 moves, a nasty divorce where I basically wound up with less than a pick up load of stuff.Whenever I needed my compass for hunting or whatever I could always find it. A few years ago I finally realised I was lucky to have something that survived 36 years so I now keep the compass in a safer place.

My dad always carried a pocket knife.When He passed away he was buried with his favorite pocket knife.

For me I'll take along my compass when it's time to leave. :cheers:

Only real news is that now I'm a Granny. B's daughter had a little girl, him and mini me just got back Thu. morning from going down to visit.

MiniMe had a pretty big year.New puppy and she bacame an aunt. :D
