This is a picture of my dog Magnum. Her full name is Magnum P.I. The P.I. stands for "Postal Inspector", because she makes sure the mail man delivers the mail quickly, and keeps on moving.
I got Maggie from the Burlington County Animal Rescue in New Jersey. She weighed about 20 pounds the day I got her, and she grew at quite a fast pace. Within about a month of being in the truck with me, she felt she owned it. She doesn't even let people she likes come into the truck without giving them a loud protest.
Maggie shares the house with another dog "Shorty", and 3 cats. She gets along good with the cats, but has been known to knock them down like bowling pins when they get out of line.
Even though she's a pit-bull / mastiff mix, Maggie thinks she's a hunting dog. When I say "Where's the birdies?....Get the birds up!!" she goes nuts. She stalks slowly into the back yard, and takes a perfect "Pointer" pose. After a few seconds of looking like a statue, she blasts across the yard and chases the birds out. Then she struts back to me, with her chest all puffed up like she just won the battle of her life.

Here she is playing around with me. If she wasn't playing, the thumb would be gone...
