For those of you who make it a point to get exercise on the road- what are some of your favorite activities for physical exertion?
I usually like to run, but I carry a mountain bike with me on the top bunk of my sleeper and ride it on occasion.
I also have hand weights for working out my upper body.
When the weather is bad, I use a Weider portable stair-stepper in the cab.

Jeff, the post I made with the information from Occupational Medicine has a link in it with tips on exercises drivers can do to help them keep fit. Most are simple, yet will help on the way to better health and fitness!

I don't lump freight, but since my birthday, I've lost 35 lbs. :yikes: Don't know what my waist size is now, but I've had to tighten my belt 2 holes just to keep my pants up. :D
Only thing I've really done that's any different from before is, I switched to diet sodas and diet Lipton teas exclusively.
When I'm on the road, at truckstops, I park on the far side of the lot from the building and walk.
IF the weather ever straightens out, I'll be able to do more things outside for my 'exercise'.

I look for opportunities to walk. Shopping malls are good. Big ones frequently have empty parking out in the boonies of the lot. The other day I had to go to Radio Shack and got there half an hour before they opened. Did a couple laps of the mall including stairs. I also walk laps at the IL Tollway oases. I've lost about 15 since my DOT physical in Feb.
