Well, I got myself a new semi-truck licence, and a new job! Long haul cross Europe!
This is my truck, on the left, next to the boss's old truck.

Nice pics and good luck in your new gig!

Now 1 question:

How does it work when you cross the border from a country that drives on the left side of the road into a country that drives on the right side of the road?

Well, the only countries still in Europe that drive as the Romans intended is Britain and a few islands like Malta and Gibraltar. So they are all ferry corssings. I just have to get out of the boat and remember which side to drive on. It's a bit easier when there's a native to follow for a while  All the mainland EU nations drive on the right like you guys, and since my truck has the seat on the left.. it's not too hard there. On my first trip back to England however.. it's kinda scary not being able to see approaching traffic when you pull out from a junction, especially when you have 54,000lb in the trailer. Even with 460 horses to pull it, it's not exactly quick off the mark.
Ah well, football season is coming up, here's hoping the AFN covers a lot of Bears Games!

It's almost all cabovers. The only people who use a tractor unit with a bonnet are the people with dump trailers or the like, who are big on weight in short lengths. If I put a big pete to KW900 on the front of my trailer, especially one with a nice big condo sleeper, it'd be about 10' too long... :(

Yep, it's a portable X-ray scanner, built into a 4 axle straight truck.
It has a secondary electric drive, so the semi it's scanning is parked, and the operator of the scanner can move it back and forth to scan the rig. It's quite cool to watch.

Great pics, cool to see how things are done on the other side of the pond.

But please don't stand too close to that X ray truck, that's some bad sh*t.
