I need a steering column for one of these. Anybody got one laying around anywhere?

Nope, sorry girl! Don't have one of those, however.............................

If you like that "year" of vehicle, I'm sure Goofy would arrange to take you for a spin in his 1987 Chevy Dually pickemuptruck!

:p

:yikes:

Thx but no thx Tricia. I just don't care for Chebbies. I wouldn't have this car 'ceptin it was given to me. At that price, it's worth it to fix.

Now 15-20 years ago if you had inquired I knew some people who could have gotten you anything you needed in what ever color you wanted so long as you did not ask too many questions. :p

Thx Jim but I'll pass on that offer.....lol
Allan's (Beetle) dad gave me the car and it needs some kind of rod in the steering column that Buick doesn't make any more. So, I figure we'll just replace the whole steering column and go the easiest route. When we find one. Of course there is always Redneck Engineering to fall back on. But I really don't want to go that way if we can help it.

Your best bet would be to look around on E-bay or Craig's List. I find lots of good parts there pretty regularly.

On E-bay Motors I found this steering column (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Accessories___1984-1988-CIERA-CENTURY-OTHERS-STEERING-COLUMN_W0QQitemZ220247851418QQddnZPartsQ20Q26Q20Ac cessoriesQQddiZ2811QQcmdZViewItem) that may at least have the part in it you need to fix the old one.

Thx Jeff. That was my next idea, but I figured I'd ask in here first, "just in case".

Kinda, sorta...... I'm driving it now but have to very careful about watching speed and Trip Summary to see how much fuel I have. It's all good tho'. It still gets me where I need to go.

found out some neat things lately. a Cadilac eldorado and a olds [toranado???] are the same body as the riviera so thats gonna make finding parts somewhat easier.
