Can't wait until next Saturday! There's a bunch of us guys and a couple gals gonna get together and go do some serious shooting. About 9-10 people all together.

Since this has been in the planning stages for so long (it's hard to match everyones work schedule and personal schedules so everyone's off and available), the anticipation is killing me. :rolleyes:;)

Anyways, I've been rounding up all my 'stuff', buying several different types of ammo, cleaning my guns, etc....... Only thing left to do now is order 1500 rounds of 7.62x39 ammo. Was gonna only buy 1000, but I figured, "What the heck". :D

Cleaning kits & rags..........check

.45acp ammo, 700 rds......check
.30-30 ammo, 300 rds......check
.22 ammo,1000+ rds........check
12 gauge shells, 200.........check

Guns, all of them...............check

Just need to buy the 7.62 ammo, load up the cooler, sodas, brats, charcoal, bbq tools, buns, beans, plates, etc. :cool:

Oops! Just remembered that I need to buy some targets too. :doh: The wife's been saving milk jugs for a while now also. Just gotta fill 'em with water. :D

Well, the pickup's loaded.

Made the quick trip to Cabela's tonight and got what I needed. (the wife will probably file for divorce first thing Monday morning, once she finds out how much I spent!) :yikes:

In the morning, all I gotta do is load the cooler full of sodas, brats and such, load my guns in the back, stop by Mom's to pick up my brother-in-law.....meet my son and my nephew, and we're 'out-the-door-and-down-the-road'...........headed for the range.

Wow! 6 hours of shooting today. :D

Range reports;

1. M1911A1 .45 acp; Did pretty good. Shot at some 'tippy targets', spinners, steel plates and bowling pins. My SA ran like a dream. No malfunctions what-so-ever. :cheers: Shot about 400 rounds.

2. Mossberg 500 12 ga; I really suck shooting clay pigeons. Didn't think I could get that rusty! :wtf: Hit 5 outta the first 25. :wtf: Went through 100 shells.

3. Marlin 60 .22LR; Just did a little plinking with that. Shot maybe 200 rounds.

4. Marlin 336C .30-30; Checked the zero on it and it's still the same. Shot 50 rounds.

5. Yugoslavian SKS M59/66; Finished up the 'Silver Bear' ammo I had with no malfunctions. Switched to Wolf ammo (that I bought last night) and it did nothing but stove pipe or jam. :vmad: I was so pissed that I don't even think I shot 50 rounds with it. Gonna pick up some more 'Silver Bear' ammo and see if it's an ammo problem for sure. If not, it's going to the gunsmith or getting sold.

Tried my brother-in-laws Saiga AK-47. What a sweet rifle!

Tried a DPMS AR-15. I want one! :D
