Filled up my truck Thursday morning in Waco TX. Fuel was $2.079 cash price. I dropped $480.00 for 230.880 gallons to top off my tanks. :yikes:

Well, here is where it really shows, if you are leased to a decent company or not. Where I am at(CFI), this week we are getting 19 cents per mile, fuel surcharge on ALL dispatched miles, loaded or empty. Their surcharge system pays us, regardless of what they actually collect from customers.
Their system is set up in a fashion that is geared to protect their O/O's from spikes and slumps in the fuel market. We don't have to wait & see what we get, we can plan on it right from the start. They update it every Monday afternoon @ 1500 (3 PM0. We can can call or check the website, anytime after 0800, Tuesday morning and find out what it is for the next week. If it has gone up, we get more.
I don't know how the guys who are running broker loads are making it!

Some times I haul a broker load. In fact, I loaded outta Dallas on Thursday and got .23 cpm (@ 1050 miles, Dallas to Bloomington MN) for FSC.

Still had 16' left over and managed to grab 5 skids outt Lee's Summit MO to fill me out. The rate & FSC for that added enough to make a good profit.
