If PA has an open carry law on the books I see nothing wrong with it.Her "intent" is of no more consequence than an LEO's intent while being armed.

I am a firm believer that "if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns"

I do not see that her being armed in public view poses a threat to anyone that is abiding by the law.

Do I think that she would ruin someones day if they tried to carjack her or harm her in some way..........yep I sure do.

While she had/has every right to 'open carry' in public, I think that she used poor judgement by open carrying to a soccer game.

Open carry invites the world to judge you by what they see. Granted, 95% of the general public probably wouldn't even notice the gun on her hip, it's the other 5% that'll make the biggest stink about it.

Personally, if it were me in her shoes, I would've been carrying concealed.

Why?

Concealed carry of a handgun keeps unwanted attention away from you. If you happen to find yourself in a situation where your gun is needed, if the 'bad guy' doesn't know that you're carrying, you have the small element of surprise if you choose to draw your weapon.

Take a look at her picture (btw, every picture that I've seen of her has been like this one). Light colored clothing and a black holster and gun on the widest part of her hip. Her shirt is tucked behind the gun. Nothing like putting up a 'billboard' saying "LOOK AT ME, I CARRY A GUN!"

She should've taken the time and spent the money for a concealed carry permit, then she most likely wouldn't be having these issues.

I agree Dave, she's just asking for trouble. Hubby agrees also.

She had the permit but the Sheriff revoked it after the complaints at the soccer game, thus forcing her to further carry openly. I believe it has now been returned.

Don't understand why she feel the need to open carry but she is well within her rights to do so. As far as carrying at kids events, as long as it is not prohibited by law I have no problem with it.

The mantra being "if you are going to carry, carry all the time regardles of where you are, you never know when TSWHTF."

Found a link to the forum she is a member of, thought I would add it here (http://forum.pafoa.org/open-carry-144/32946-shefearsnothings-revocation-legal-info-thread.html)

I do not agree...as long as she carries in a safe and responsible manner...she should have the right to carry as she sees fit...
