Any Swift drivers out there. I like to know about thier Newbie Training. And does anyone run thru Delaware. I'm looking at going thru thier CDL training. Do they keep you moving and the average weekly milage. Thanks

I am not witn Swift but can tell you something to thing about

If they pay for your training - school. You will be expected to stay for at least 1 year to fullfill your end of the contract.
You will be commited for 1 full year at least and if you are unhappy and want to leave you may have to pay the fee back.

Just something to think about before you jump in and get wet.

Lots of info here, I reccomend you read and ask lots of questions, we will do our best to give you the straight dope .

What ever you decide to do , I wish you the best and hope you meet success on the way.

Thank you for the reply Nitestar. I understand about the comitment and figure I need to start somewhere. ! year to me really is not much to have some one else to pay for my training. I read alot of forums. I really do like the advice that some give it is very helpful. Some of the people that reply give alot of negative response and that can deter some wannabies. Is it as bad as some say. I like finding things out the hard way. Any experince or training knowlegde you throw my way would be very helpful. Thank you once again Jerry

figure I need to start somewhere. Then why don't you start some where with a better reputation. Settling for less doesn't make sense. ;)

If that stands for "Fire Fighter / Emergency Medical Technician" followed by your badge number or certification number.

Why not keep doing that?

It is honerable, and you guys actually get some recognition and respect.

In trucking; you will be hated by most, and respected by none.
