Boredom when you're stuck somewhere on the road?

I've been here in Waco TX since Monday around noon. :wtf: Thankfully I have my laptop and was able to get out of the truck for a while yesterday.

Dispatch finally found me a load that that pays somewhat decent. I can pick it up tomorrow after 9:30 am in Dallas.

Even after doing a little bit of sight seeing. I am soooooooo tired of sitting here. It'll be good to get home on Friday.

I take my dog for a long walk. I get to see a lot of the surrounding area, and bot Maggie and I get some much needed exercise.

My dog didn't come along on this trip.

I did however, visit the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum. That was pretty inteserting.

In the past when stuck somewhere for a day or weekend, I've visited places of interest in the area I was in.

There's quite a few air and military museums around the country. Since I'm kind of a military buff, I try to stop in and see them if I have time.

Something I try to do, even if I'm under a load, is on Fri & Sat evenings, I'll ask at the fuel desk, where is the closest little local dirt track that races that nite. Most of them start between 6 and 7pm, so you can't wait to late. But for $6-10, you get 4-6hrs of cool entertainment. I guess, over the yeas, I've been to 50 or 60 different tracks.

jimbo had an accident that kept him out of work for over a year,he has since recovered and gone back to work driving tankers for an east coast company.

they must be keeping him real busy, because he hasn't been seen on this site or on EW for quite some time.
