I will not pull any load over 18,000 lbs. combined load and trailer weight. My trailer weighs 6300 lbs. That means I will not take any load over 11,700lbs. (realistically 12,000 lbs.) By the way, that vinyl siding load weighed 11,000 lbs. The yard ramp weighed 3300 lbs. and I hauled two of them piggy-backed from MI to CT and MA.

Well, Preacher, look at the bright side here................ When you finally get all of the break downs over and get to trucking, you will basically have a brand new truck! :D

I keep telling myself that! Compared to the cost of a new 1-ton truck I still only have around $15,000 in my truck after all the repairs I've made. There are no guarantees that a new truck wont break down either. I had a friend with an `05 Chevy 1-ton break down for several days. I am, however, considering buying a full size tractor.
