[Acorn Trucking]

Anyone who has been around much of the military probably has seen or at least heard of this plane. I got to see one that had to make an emergency landing at Ellsworth AFB SD sometime around 1978. They had to fly in a special support crew and kept it far away from the rest of operations. The day it took off our crew had just landed and got to watch it from the tarmac. It quickly rose from the concrete did a short spin over the base then screamed into an unlimited climb out and was gone from site in seconds. Very impressive to say the least.

The SR-71 is an awesome plane. The only one I've ever seen is on display at March AFB.
