1986 359 ext hood Peterbilt.

It's common knowledge that our truck is an 86 which makes it 19 yrs old. The other day I had somebody that was trying to put me down ask how we could get anyone to take her as old as she is.... Shut'em right up when I posted links to the pics. :D

 Ya think?

I didn't post the pic of the stainless headliner. And since those pics were taken, he has replaced all foot pedals.

Let ya in a lil secret. All the "chrome" ya see on the instrument panels ain't really chrome. The bottom is... (ac cover etc)

In Wildwood, FL... at the chrome shop, they sell a heavy chrome "tape". We bought that stuff (high dollar stuff) back in 97. The pics here were taken in 2002.

It's a PITA to work with cause it is such a heavy material (meaning it ain't that thin stuff).... but it lasts a long time and is durable. Not only that, when you stick it to something, that dang well better be where you want it, cause it is a b!tch to take off.

Ya don't cut it with no scissor either. We had to use a dremal tool. Talkin bout a job...... there are 21 gauges, all them toggle switches, not to mention every one of those little fuse doohickeys.

The air valves are two old crystal door knobs we happened to find at a roadside flea market. The windshield wipers/washer knobs are some that we found at either Lowes or Home Depot in the department where ya buy kitchen/bathroom cabinet handles/knobs. They look and reflect like crystal, but they are some kind of polymer material.

LOL..... boys and their toys.

Thanks for the compliments!
