Morton is right off of I-20 east of Jackson MS. There's two interchanges 4 miles apart. While it's not advisable to pull over alongside the Interstate, one of those get off ramps would suffice.

I think the driver was scared and trying to run.

Cops never need PC, especially with a truck, and especially after they find something. I was pulled over once and the cop gave me three different reasons why, and was pretty embarrassed when I pointed out the lie contained in each reason. However, if I had been drunk like he was hoping, none of that would have mattered...

Maybe the woman trucker never used the mirrors for anything except putting makeup on, and had the stash of cash because she heard it was expensive to live on the road.

Also, I think it is wrong that anyone has to prove the money is theirs, if by some chance she legitimately is the owner of the cash. There have been too many stories of the government seizing cash, and then taking years to give it back when they were obviously in the wrong.

MN just recently disbanded the Minnesota Gang Strike Force for corruption, missing cash and missing vehicles that had been seized then used or sold by them. There's quite a few officers under investigation over this right now.

I will say in NC they don't have to have any reason to pull you over, but to search INSIDE a vehicle they need PC. The only time PC is obtained without consent is by either seeing something (open the door and smell or see something) or a detection by a K-9.

Where I don't like it is how do I know there isn't a code word in another language that I am not familiar with that will make the dog do the same thing as though he was alerted. To put it in laymans term, the Officer could say blah and make the dog sit which could be the same reaction when detecting a narcotic. Just something to think about.

Then learn to speak German as most K9 Officers speak in German to their dogs.
