I'm in New Caney, TX tonight and deliver at Wal-Mart on Saturday afternoon. I may take my mountain bike out and go for a ride in the morning with this really nice weather down here.

From there (unless it changes) I'm picking up a load at our drop yard in Houston and then heading to Gulfport, MS for delivery on Monday morning.

Hiya Margie! I've got VERN with me on this trip! :bleh:

I'm sitting in Gulfport, MS. Your also right about the weather it is beautiful. I am about 500-550 from where I have to be on monday. Then after I drop this one I am going to do a local in FL. Picks up in Largo and delivers in Malabar in the same day. I can't argue with the load 3,100 pounds and paying 2.70 a mile.

Dropped off and picked up at Winco's new DC in Boise ID. Dropping at Sacramento CA tomorrow, delivering a load dropped there in Tracy tomorrow, then home to see the taxman and hit the slopes for the last time this season!

'bout time to put my bike back on the truck! :hi5[1]:

I am sitting here in Seffner, FL trying to figure out WTF. My delivery address is showing a residential area and I am supposed to be going to a warehouse, whats even better is the contact number is a cell phone and they are not answering it. Was supposed to deliver at 0600 and well with no confirmation of the address and no one wanting to answer the phone I am sitting here watching the clock. I have to be in Largo at 1100 for a pickup.

I never wait intill the last minute to call customers, otherwise you spend alot of time waiting..good luck

Not much I could do on that one cricket, not even the broker had a number for them last week that was a good number to reach this new facility. The number that they had was for the billing address of the customer which was in TN. I finally got through to some one and they actually were in the residential area, they put in a supply yard in an open field.

Made it to my other appointment by 1100 and they weren't ready so I sat there and waited about an hr and a half then made it with 2 mins to spare to the recievers in Malabar, FL.

Now I am at the hook in Dupont Center.

*sigh* Still sitting here in central TX.

Delivered my load 4 hours early yesterday, despite having to have a blown trailer tire and broken fuel filter mount fixed. :bravo:

Ya can't tell me there isn't ANYTHING moving out of the Austin area. :wtf:

I am so bored. :36_1_50[1]:

So much for that plan.

The air line going to my air dryer blew and now the truck won't hold air.

I wrote up an 'unknown air leak' last week, but the guys in our shop said they couldn't find it.

I guess I know where it was leaking now. :wtf:

Just got off the phone with the broker and he's checking to see if they'll still load me today.

The repair guy is on the way to fix it.

Dave there is plenty of things to roll out of that general area. Your dispatcher is just lazy.

I'm over here playing local monkey running around in FL. Tomorrow Jacksonville to Lakeland. Then I think to get the hell outta here I am going to bounce up to GA. Everything down here pays crap and is super heavy. I saw a load this morning that was 48K how the hell do you put that in a dryvan? :explain:

I found a couple of other things to do but I am not going to dry 2200 miles at .61/mi sorry that doesn't even pay the fuel bill.

Big_Dave

If I go into a place with a half tank of fuel or less, I can get 48K lbs. in my dry van.

But Dave don't play the 'stop every 200 miles and put on 40-50 gallons game'. :36_6_4[1]:

I made it up to Tonkawa OK. They rescheduled my delivery, so now I get to sit on this load until 11 am Thursday. :8_4_53[1]:

I made it to Blytheville, AR last night and my phone rang much later than usual- it was my Mother. She called to let me know that my paternal Grandmother just passed away. I'm working to get home now.
