Well I've talked to the Terminal Manager here for GI Trucking...
I guess it was announced about a month ago that Estes will buy out it's remaining interest in GI Trucking. They are talking about marketing it as "Estes West"... However managment said this transistion will take some time (couple of years), as they do not want to repeat growth problems exibited by other LTL carriers... All in all, I see it as a good thing thing for the two regionals...

Estes had a recruiter type riding with one of their p&d drivers this week. He was approaching other drivers at docks offering $22.50 an hour. He told our driver, who will be retiring in the next 2 years or so, to come work for them part time after he retires. He said thanks, but no thanks.

This was for the Eighty-Four, PA (Pittsburgh area) terminal.

From what I have found they are in line with the rest of the LTL types.

22+ a hour and .52 a mile. That is 100%. I do not know if they do like many other LTL companies. Many start you at 85%.
