OH, that's just peachy sidecar. Now you let me know about these Grizzly shootings. I send my ex-wife a hooded sweatshirt, with antlers sticking out of the hood, and a white fuzzy strip near the lower back, so she would be safe walking in the woods during deer hunting season, and NOW you let me know this???
Guess I have to send her a bear-head hat to wear this winter.
Mine is, of course, Little Angel.
I am one... really! I swear it!!
See tha halo??? It's not even crooked today! :jawdrop:

White Dog
April 23rd, 2005, 19:58
My handle is White Dog.
My very first driving job fresh out of trucking school was with a constrution company running a dump truck....a white Mack.
We ran two way radios, and a forman on a crew was named Russ also. So when the boss called for "Russ" on the two way, we'd both answer and walk on each other.
The boss got frustrated with it and asked if it was o.k. to call me White Dog (white Mack with the bull dog on the hood)---and it just kinda stuck.
I have always belived that a handle should be given to you by someone else (be it a nick name grandpa called you as a kid or whatever).
You can tell the handles that have been self given---I mean, who has the nick name 12 Gauge. get the point? ;)
Messyme
April 23rd, 2005, 20:44
My handle is Messyme. It was a nickname given to me more than 20 years ago by some co-workers...stuck with me to this day!
On the CB I use my own name...Stephanie...but I would have to turn it on to hear you hollering at me :p

Mine was given to me by an older truck driver that I helped out on my way home from work one night. It has just kind of stuck with me.

April 27th, 2005, 22:01
Do I even dare say where beanie came from??
We had a very large garden when I was a kid (and I sure miss it now). One of our chores were to pick the vegetables. Well, I did the beans and mom and dad always wanted to know why there weren't many beans picked.. ummm cuz I ate them.. Man, I love fresh picked beans! Started out as a kid from my family and just kind of stuck with me. The baby part wasn't added until recently :D

Found this thread on the last page. Thought since we have a lot more new members (since this post died) that I'd bring it back to page one.
I like hearing where people got their handels.

Kranky 1
November 27th, 2006, 20:16
Since I have always been known for having a bad temper (the PC term would be "having anger management issues")people have said I'm always "cranky", and since my last name begins with a "K", that makes me a "Kranky 1"

snoope
November 27th, 2006, 22:48
The one I answer too is the same as my name on here....Daughter gave me a Snoopy to ride in my cab way back when and it just snowballed from there.......DO NOT believe all the other tails about it....Maine girls and NH ladies have been known to exaggerate :harhar: :harhar: ;) ..

saddletramp
November 27th, 2006, 23:25
Grew up on a ranch south of Miles City Montana. I would ride with my Dad and the help to go gather and work cows and come home dirt and dust from one end to another, so my Mother would call me a "Saddletramp" for getting so dirty all the time...............
Course my Dad helped out by having me undue lasso's around the neck of the calves all day and most of the time I was the one who was underneath the cow trying to get the rope off.............

magicman
November 28th, 2006, 16:31
I got my handle, " Magicman " from twins I was dating at the same time. Nuf said there. When I met my 2nd wife, she didn't like me being named by 2 other girls, so she changed it to a saying I used to use, "Bullfeathers".
Got rid of the ex and the handle, at the same time. :D :D :D

windcatcher
December 1st, 2006, 17:59
I was scouting for a CB handle and presented several options to a panel of peers on a newbie forum years ago. Everyone liked 'windcatcher' so it stuck (as I liked it too). I think it was a character in a story some where.

December 1st, 2006, 21:01
well my husband has had the handle "bones" since he was about 11, his brothers gave him that name and still call him that to this day, I don't think they remember he has a real name...lol so he just kept it as a CB handle and i figured it was only appropriate for me to be called "LadyBones" :D

I go by Daytripper. Long story there, but it is not the Beatles song. Picked up the handle a year before that song came out.
Don't even have the cb on much anymore. Really only use it when running with other Rolar drivers. We use channel 4 and use each other's names.
