Sitting home as usual. Start PT on Tuesday the 20th. I just may go to my own home for part of the weekend. It's really been hot and humid and need to check up on the 25 or so orchids that I have. Should have 3 new ones coming this week.

I'm retired but am heading to Gettysburg PA for a few days to attend a military reunion. Don't any of you folks run over me and my pick-up truck.(lol)

I've been retired for 7 years and don't miss trucking at all but still like to check in and see what everyone is up to.

Going to go pick up my Phoenix load here in a little bit. Then going to come back home and get all my stuff together for my DOT Audit/Inspection courtesy of California Highway Patrol that is tomorrow. The rest of the day I am not sure what I will be up to but Sunday I will be heading to PHX to make my delivery on Monday. Then I will do it over again as I have now become a dedicated Recycled Glass hauler coming out of San Diego to Phoenix every other day M-F with the weekends off.

I'm thrilled about it because I will finally be able to repair what damage was done to my relationship to my now ex-wife. It will allow me to be able to spend time with her and my stepson.

It is not the highest paying gig in the world, but to me there are somethings that are way more important than money. If I can find a steady back haul life will be great, but I am still making money coming home empty so it's all good.

On another note, the DOT Safety Compliance Auditor just left and I passed that with flying colors. The only thing he got me for was not having a copy of my MCS-90 form, it has been submitted to the feds. I didn't receive a copy of it from my insurance company so I have to call them and get one to have on file. Kevin told me that it is a common form for Carriers to be missing because of the fact that the insurance companies tend to forget to send a copy back to the carrier. He also said since your compliant I will not have to come see you again unless you have a major accident, bad BIT's, if I come with the BIT Inspector, or do the BIT for you.

Filling containers with corn again...if the BNSF will let us take them out empty. Took two off of their list yesterday, only to be told I couldn't have them because of their errors on their list. The boss told me to go home as it was the end of the day, and from the tone of my voice on the nextel, I think he thought I was ready to go all 'pro-pilot' on them...

I head into work early tuesday morning. Then I will be home later in the afternoon. Repeat that for the next 5 days. Then off for 2. I love local work.
