In your mind, what would be the ideal and practical lease agreement?
Pay
Hometime
Miles
Freight
Anything else and so forth.
Plenty of folks complain about this and that so give ideas on what you would want and maybe someone somewhere will read this and take it to heart as what drivers are looking for.

The lease I have at the company I'm leased to now. After reviewing quite a few leases from other companies in my area, I feel they have the best lease around for me.
Pay
I get 71.5% of gross plus 100% of the fuel surcharge. I set a 'lowest rate' that I would haul for and the company pretty much stuck to that.
Hometime
When I wanna be home, I am.
Miles
Doesn't matter. As long as the rate is right and there's a couple of loads to choose from, I'll take the one that fits my needs best. If I need more cash, I take the longer runs.
Freight
Whatever fits in a dry van. The ONLY WAY I'll pull a load that is 'driver unload' or 'driver assist' is if Operations or Dispatch clears it with me first, and there better be enough $$$ for me to fingerprint the freight.
Anything else and so forth.
Being able to get items like tires & fuel at the company discount would be nice. The only thing that I was able to get through the company was insurance for my truck.
