as you can see it is red devil is there
i mean Cummins ISX15 with EGR
the engine got a unrepairable damage, so it was replaced with another one (used)
As i think - ISX15 one of most unfortunately engines
Even a DD 12.7 have a bigger mileage till the moments the engine to trash (unrepairable).
Oh, yah, almost forgot... )))
The one eye Monster truck togging that VNL - is a russian URAL Truck (6X6).

It looks as if you have your hands full. How many miles were on that ISX before she finally died? I have one in my '05 Kenworth W900L and I love the motor. Great fuel mileage, plenty of power, relatively trouble free.

Cummins ISX 15 (EGR & NON EGR) in my practice in Russia dies in a mileage between 1 200 000 ... 1 300 000 kilometers
Here in Russia I hadn't seen a ISX with a mileage greater than above wroten upper limit.
For an example:
DD 60 12.7 (NON EGR!!!) my maximum viewed mileage is 1 700 000 kilometers & no any serious repair to engine was made.
The best is a CAT, their mileage is from 1 800 000 kilometers & upper & no any serious repair to engine was made.
So cumm ISX sucks i think, only M11 & N14 are near the DD's & CAT's mileage

In addition relatively to ISX 15 can say that the most popular failure on that is a dead (after 1.0 ... 1.1 million kilometers) camshaft.

You called the dead cam right. Everyone I've known to rebuild the motors has included cam's and average mileage has been 1.2-1.3 million. Most larger CATs seem to be around the same out here, but they are used in severe duty pulling constant loads in excess of 100,000 pounds. The smaller CATs like the C12 seems to need a rebuild around 450,000 which with idle time is around 780,000 miles. Keep in mind I am talking about trucks that are used in construction and for pump applications which have a lot of PTO idle time. I know the same motors used in long haul tend to have a longer lifespan.

Engines more hardy made till 2002.
System EGR kills engines.
