If you are trying to figure out how to post a message with a picture in it, this is the right place to check out. If you feel like a "dummy" because you just can't seem to get it done, don't feel that way. I am able to build computers from the ground up, and it still took me a month to figure out the process.

The very fact that I am taking the time to write this is because **EVERYBODY** is confused by the process the first time around. Trust me when I tell you, the first time you figure it out, you'll wonder why it seemed so hard before.

Step 1- You must upload your picture to a website, so this website can find the picture. I have my own website, and use it to load pictures on. If you don't have a website to do this, don't worry. This website has a great photo gallery section on it, and you can load the picture there. At the top of this forum section, click on the dark blue box that says "click here to view the photo album". Sign up for the photo gallery. It's free, and will make sharing pictures easier

Step 2- After you have the picture uploaded to the photo gallery, go to that picture. Here is a picture of my old truck I have on the gallery.

Step 3- Put your cursor over the picture, and click the right button once. A box will open. From the choices in that box, choose "Properties". A box will pop up listing the picture's address, as well as it's size. Here's what you should see.

Look for the address, and hi-lite it by left-clicking on the very beginning, and keeping the button down, while scrolling to the end of the address. Be sure to include the "http://" part of the address when you hi-lite it. Here's what parts you are looking for.

Step 4- With the address hi-lited, right click on what's hi-lited, and choose "Copy" from the choices. This will load the address into your computer's clipboard. Go to the forum, and open a message text box by hitting the "Post Reply" or "Post New Topic" button, which ever allpies to what you are doing. You should see this box appear.

Step 5- In the text box, right-click with your mouse, and choose "Paste" from your choices. You should see the address of the picture appear in the box. It should look like this

Now that the address of the picture is in the text box, hi-lite it the same way as when you copied it from the picture. With the full address, including the "http://" part, and the .gif or .jpg end hi-lited, go just above the text box, and click on the button that says "IMG". This will add an "" tag in front of the address, and a tag at the end of it. This is a simple code that tells the website that you are wanting the address you put in there to be read as an image, instead of regular text. It should look like this:

After the address is in the box, with the two "[img]" tags on both sides, go just below the text box, and hit the button that says "Preview".

If everything went well, the picture should appear in the frame. If it looks good, go down and hit the "Submit" button. That's all ther is to it. You can add text to the post, besides the picture. Just make sure the text you put in comes before of after the picture, and doesn't get between the address and the "img" tags. Give it a try, Take your time, and do it step by step. Once you get it right once, you will be a picture posting pro in no time!

If the picture you post is too big for the post, or is so big that it over-dominates the post, check out my other topic of "Resizing a picture" to see how to take care of th
