So far so good, sort of. Had incredible dispatch retardation, and rerouted from Granite City IL to Lafayette CO due to wrong lumber being loaded in Tacoma....
Unloading and reloading in the same day was quite the workout. I am still sore and have to drop this in the morning, provided that I can find the cons. without them answering their phone. Ahhh, Mapquest here I come.
My tarping has been fine doesn't look like hammered dog doo doo this time! :p This is my third load now. Not exactly racking up the miles as I was used to pulling the box, but I chalk it up to my learning curve.
Did get the coveralls but haven't put them on. Trying to find gloves that fit right, I keep on getting the end of the pinky stuck when I put bungees on. Strap throwing fine as long as I am not too tired. Had a guy delivering with me at the end of the 2nd load and we helped each other out and that was cool. I guess it's the same ammout of work, but the tarps are so much faster with two.
I like this alot, but I am a little disenchanted with my company, my dispatcher and my raggedy trailer that won't be pulling away from a Level one if I get it. As we say in Hawaii, it's not my kuliana. That's like a combination of karma and responsiblility. Lots of rust.
Hope that all of you are ok, and that no one suffered from the storm. My family in Mobile, AL made it ok, minimal damage. I will read and write more later, I need a bit of sleep now and have about 200 some odd miles to go to unload.
I am loving the flatbed!!!!
Love to you guys from LindaLou.
