I started my part time job yesterday and so far it is OK. Pulled some rolled something or other to Hickory yesterday and today. Nice T-600 with a 475 Cummins and 10 speed in it.

It is funny to hear everyone ask for a bear report again. Well funny to me being on the other side sometimes. :harhar: I don't think I could do it again as a full time job, but am lovin the hell out of it part time. If I was to hit the lottery I would buy me a truck and still do it part time. I think I would still be a cop as that is where my heart is, but trucking to me is relaxing and a nice relief from the ignorance of some of my clientele in the Cop biz.

MoonRunner or CP, have you ever thought of getting your CDL and driving part time? It is alot better I think when you do it because you want to rather than doing it because you have to.

It is my last day off so I think some :fishing: is in order. Because when I :fishing: I tend to do better when I am  so wish me luck. :yikes:

Yeah, thought about it, more as something after retirement though. I used to drive mail before I was a trooper, relaxed schedules, no pressure, the biggest headache was just making sure not to get into the next post office too early. There was plenty of time built into the contract, pay was good, people were A-OK as well.

Still thinking along those lines, would be more interested in part time or splitting a run up with another old fart, maybe do it alternate days.

Glad you like it, I certainly understand the relaxation, as suddenly it's almost like vacation I would imagine. Just driving to drive ...

Take care ................

Yep I have thought of it...I have my CDL and plan on driving when I retire from this job. I have 2 years left to go then I'm out. I have no idea who I want to work for when the time comes but I certainly want to go at it for a while.
