Not that s/he should teach you everything, but there are a few things that you'll learn only by living them.

Instead of buying a pin puller for the fifth wheel, buy a 30" crowbar instead. You can use the hook end of the crowbar to pull the fifth wheel latch mechanism, but you can't use a pin puller to pull nails out of the floor of your trailer.

Before you hang clothes in the closet of the truck, glue a piece of carpet on the back wall where the hangers will rub. If you don't, eventually the hangers will wear small holes in your shirts where they rub against the cabinet.

The mattress in your truck is a cheap POS. Flip it over every other month, and it will stay firm a lot longer.

Remove, or have maintenance remove the seat belt buckle that is in the middle front of the bunk. First time you almost remove your cojones on this, you'll understand why.

Always try to park in a spot that is level, or has your head higher than your feet when you lay down in the bunk. If your feet are higher than your head, you won't sleep very well.

70% Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol is excellent for cleaning greasy fingerprints, dirt, etc. off of the plastic interior surfaces of your truck. It also can be used to de-ice brake lines, and when mixed with water can be used as windshield washer fluid.

Buy a bottle of dishwashing detergent, and when you stop at the fuel island do this - Wet the windshield with the hose, then squirt some detergent on the nylon scrubber end of the windshield squeege. Scrub the bugs off of the windshield, and rinse the windshield clean. Bugs will come off a lot easier this way.

Buy a box of Imodium, and keep it in the truck. Sooner or later you'll need it - especially if you eat at the buffet - and it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

Take care of yourself, eat your vegetables, say your prayers, and drive carefully - you'll do just fine! :)
