I decide to get busy around yard today (wife said go away I'm busy) so I start on stumps from tree felling two years ago :yikes: I'm outta shape and getting too old for shovels much less anything else that requires physical labor (except chasing wife for which I get "go away I'm busy") I got four stumps to dig out the biggest being 30 inches dia., does dynamite really work on stumps? I'm going to pull this beast in the AM I hope and then get the he ll out of dodge for a couple of days at the lake

(per stump) 2 gallons of used motor oil and 1 gallon of diesel.
A case or 3 of beer and a COMFORTABLE lawn chair.
That's all ya need!
Oops...forgot! Ya need a lighter.
You're gonna need someone (like #1 son), to police up the empties afterwards. :p

Hey what did you have to pay for stump grinder man? We paid ten bucks a stump had ten of them things grinded.
Have more trees to get down and more stumps to grind later. Had about 30 huge pine trees the tree man came took about 10 down and stopped.
He only works when he wants to, and that was last year around Sept. I wonder if he wants to work some more now? He takes them down for free and he gets the trees/poles but leaves all the branches and stumps for us to clean up. Such a deal.

Why didn't you just go down to the local 'Rent-All' and rent a stump grinder?
$30-$50 a day and ya would've had enough time left over at the end of the day to enjoy a few cold adult beverages while admiring the nice job you did. ;)

Rentals are too small for these stumps, I also have to leave tommorrow and I won't be back till Memorial weekend at which time I plan to plant arbor vitae in place of the stumps, then it's :chug:  :fishing:
