My Grandparents from Illinois have been visiting for a while and decided to head back home on Friday. My Grandma is a stickler about driving safely. She hates big trucks as she has been tailgated by some and alongs side of some in the rain and so on. She chooses not to drive on the Interstate. Just a little preface to this story.

My Grandparents are heading up 77 into W. Va. when my Grandpa gets pulled over for speeding 82 in a 65. The Trooper cut him a break to 79 in a 65. He calls me while he is fueling his car and asks me what I can do for him. :wtf: :wtf: I tell him the only thing I can really do is be greatful that you weren't in Virginia as there is a mean ol' Trooper up there. :toughcrowd: (just kiddin) I tell him he is lucky I didn't pull him over. He asks, "why is that?" I tell him that if it was me I would more than likely write you for the full speed, careless and reckless, and if he copped an attitude may have arrested him. I said you need to go back and thank that Trooper for taking Grace on you and be thankful. :youaremymaster: :youaremymaster:

I told him before he left even that in NC the Troopers usually go by the method of "9 you're fine, 10 you're mine" referring to speeding. :noclue:

I asked him what he was going to do and like he always taught me he said, "I'm man enough to break the law, so I am man enough to get what's coming." :vmad:

I was talking with my Mom (it was her parents) and I told her that having to listen to Grandma was punishment enough and my Mom said, "isn't that the truth."

So even Grandparents of LEO aren't exempt to the laws of the land. I am almost sure my Grandpa tried that trick as I gave him some of my business cards before he left to give to the family, and telling the Trooper that his son is an Illinois State Trooper.

No you weren't. :fight:

On thing about it, "Once Momma goes in the book, anyone is fairgame". :harhar:

That's what I tell them when someone accuses me of writing "me own mum". It'll never happen, no one will ever write her, she is a stickler about staying under the limit (and she favors the right lane).

Later ......... :)
