I'm sitting here in Manteno, Illinois trying to figure out if I need to take a 34 hour reset or not.

While taking a small nap earlier I woke up to no noise from the reefer. I look out the window and notice the flashing light on it. "Ok, no problem," I thought. I'll just go out and check to see what codes are popping up.

Not one single code, but 6 codes. One for the battery, one for the glow plug and the other ones just go along with the other two.

Anyways, I sent in a break down and the message I got back was telling me to shut it down and wait 15 minutes and turn it back on. Well, to please them I decided to do it, knowing good and well that it wouldn't work. Guess what?? It didn't work and I knew it.

Well, breakdown wants me to go into Chicago to get it worked on. Probelm with...I'll be over my 14 hours if I went into Chicago, I am very light on this load, the wind is fiercely strong and it's snowing.

I told them I wasn't going to move and that it would endanger my life and others around me if I decided to go into Chicago. He said he couldn't send no one out to me. :wtf: What cheap bastiffs!!!

I know I did the right thing, but tell me what you would do.

If they refuse to send out a repair truck, tell them to send someone out to repower the load then.

Your logbook, you're the 'Captian' of your ship on the road. Your butt is gonna be the one swinging in the wind if something happens.
