With all the truck magazines out there, not one is dedicated to the wannabe/newbie driver ...some articals are scattered here and there in some of the current magaizines (through the gears) but not one set up just for the people looking into the industry ...wondering why?

in my opinion, its because the truth would scare too many people off.
Thats why there are websites like this one, to glean as much information as possible from the real world, and have fun doing it.
If I would have known what I was really getting into when I started driving, I would have looked into another line of work. Now that I am here in this industry, and have found my niche, I am happy with what I do. I drive less than 4 hours a day, and its perfect for me because I dont like to drive all that much.
That being said, its not always the same for everyone with one exception.
The money.
Thats the only reason to drive a truck, to make real real good money.
What would you call this magazine? If you where a publisher.
What kind of articles would you have in this magazine?
How often would you publish it, and what would your curculation be?
I think its such a simple thing. Publish it once and just redistribute it with a picture of a different show quality largecar every month.
I also think smoke and mirrors is used too often in this buisness.

Hey Mike,
I was just wondering why with all the other types of Masgazines out there nobody came up with one for the Newbie/Wannabie folks. They have Team Drivers, O/O, Woman In Trucking, Company Drivers along with several other versions of Industry published mags that come out on a monthly basis.
Inregards to the truth part ... like the rest of these magazines address that issue :D . Dealing with recruiting is like listening to a politician ...alot is said but nothng really answered :wtf:
I would see the magazine doing company training profiles, CDL school profiles, along with tips on what to expect or not to expect, Safety, how to work with trainers, log book rules, pre-trip planning tips and so on.
