Since the matter has come up in different discussions I did some research and discovered a link to MGM Brake's Brake Technician Course.
Recently while attending the National Tank Truck Carrier's Convention in Louisville, KY I obtained a copy of the course on CD ROM. Using some simple searches I found the course on MGM's web site.
I am not going to say that completing the course will make the person who passes the course a qualified brake inspector. However, it should be a step in the right direction.

For new drivers the course should be a definate plus as it will help you understand the vehicle you operate better. For O/O's the course should be of a benefit to ensure you reinstall the brake components correctly and know what to look for if you have someone else replace your brakes.
