ride please

Hi, I'm looking for a ride, my son is in the army N. G. and is in FT. Bliss TX. (El Paso). He is able to have Christmas + 4 days off, but is not allowed to go more than 15 miles off base. I would like to be there at least the day or soon after Christmas. He will be leaving to go overseas very soon afterward. I dont have much $ and thought a trucker might be able to help. I am 1 hour north of San Francisco. If you have any ideas let me know. Thanks for your time. sprite[/b]

Have your kid check with greyhound to see if they still off military discounts. I know at one time they offered active duty personel the ability to purchase a go anywhere pass that was good for like 2 or 3 weeks during the holidays for less money than it cost to go from Atlanta to Memphis.

I did take youre advice and called greyhound..$171.00 roundtrip and
34+ hours just to get there one way. I let my son know I might not be able to get there this Christmas...but will try before the 1st of Jan. with just a bit more time there will be a way. THANK YOU ALL ANYWAY.

How about catching a flight?

Back in July I flew from Las Vegas to Minneapolis for $185 one way. Round trip will be more $$$, but should be cheaper for each leg of the trip.
