I occasionally do some searching online for stuff I see when I'm on the road. Last week I passed a billboard that advertised 'See Bonnie & Clyde's car'.

After 'Googling' "Bonnie & Clyde" and reading their history, I went to the main 'Famous Cases' page and checked out some of the other cases posted there.

Pretty interesting reading.

The actual 1934 Ford V-8 that they were driving when Ranger Frank Hamer and group caught them on the road toured all around the country in the later '60s when the movie was released and interest was high. I went and saw it two nights in a row at the Pittman Plaza in Lynchburg. That thing looked like swiss cheese, those BARs shooting those 30-06 rounds on full auto really did a number on it as did the shotguns and such.
:yikes:

The world was a safer place the day they went down.

I wonder where that car is now? ;)

Frank Hamer had an interesting and full life too, spanning horseback and the early years of motor cars. He was a man of a different time. :type:

Latitude: 32.44126408
Longitude: -93.09257429

That is the spot where they went down under the guns that day in May, 1934 .

Just in case anyone is curious as many here drive almost right by it often enough. ;)

CP you seem to forget your dealing with truck drivers here. Latitude and Longitude don't get it. WE need or should I say request intersections such as
3 miles east of I-81 on hy 100 to the intersection of county road xyz. turn right and go 3/4 mile to site.
Latitiude and longitude, Guess we could fly over with those directions huh???? :p

just had to be different didn't you? :harhar:

Merry Christmas CP
